Wheel-thrown traditional vase form. This piece is a gorgeous yellow with blue crystals. One of the best things about this piece is that each way you turn it, it looks like a different vase - due to the crystalline growth patterns. This piece would look great in a living room, dining room, kitchen, entryway, or even in an office space. This vase can be used for flowers or can certainly be decorative on its own.

This piece is made of porcelain and the crystal growth was achieved by using a crystalline glaze.
Each piece made with crystalline glazes is unique because the crystals grow as they please. The first step in the process is dipping the piece in a crystalline glaze, then the piece is fired in the kiln. It is during the firing process when the crystals begin to form. You never know where the crystals will grow, how many will grow, and what stage of growth you will end up with on the finished product.
Our pieces are handmade by ceramic artist and teacher, Thomas Mackenzie Brown. Thomas studied the art of ceramics during his college career and knew it was his passion early on. He has been throwing on the wheel for 43 years and is a featured artist in multiple galleries across the California coast.
