Wheel-thrown porcelain pitcher. This pitcher holds 30 fluid ounces with a little room left at the top. This piece was designed for multiple uses but it would work well for serving afternoon drinks, iced tea, etc. We use only high fire crystalline glazes. Since our glazes are fired at such high temperatures, they will not fade or tarnish in the dishwasher. Additionally, our glazes are food safe and lead-free. The process of making this pitcher is quite in-depth and interesting. First the pitcher form is thrown on the pottery wheel, then the spout is formed by hand. Next the handle is pulled out of a separate piece of clay and then it is attached carefully. The piece was sprayed with slip prior to being bisque fired. Then it was glazed with the crystalline glaze and fired again. This is truly a unique looking pitcher that will stand out in any kitchen and can even be displayed decoratively.
